Scuba Diving at King Cruiser Wreck: Explore a Legendary Underwater Attraction

The King Cruiser, a passenger ferry that sank in 1997, now lies at a depth of 30 meters, making it accessible to divers with different levels of experience. Over the years, the wreck has become an artificial reef, attracting a diverse range of marine life, from colorful reef fish to larger pelagic species. The wreck itself is largely intact, with its structure providing a fascinating underwater landscape to explore.

Why Dive at King Cruiser Wreck?

  1. Unique Wreck Diving Experience
The King Cruiser Wreck offers one of the best wreck diving experiences in Thailand. The sunken ferry, surrounded by coral growth, is home to an array of marine life. Divers can swim through the ship’s structure, exploring its cargo holds, decks, and the surrounding reef.

  2. Rich Marine Life
Since the sinking, the wreck has become a magnet for marine creatures. Expect to see schools of tropical fish, groupers, barracudas, and even leopard sharks. The site is also known for occasional sightings of larger pelagic species such as manta rays and whale sharks, making it a thrilling dive for underwater enthusiasts.

  3. Ideal for All Levels of Divers
While the King Cruiser Wreck is located at a depth of 30 meters, its clear waters and calm conditions make it accessible for divers of varying experience levels. It’s a popular spot for advanced open-water divers, but with the right training, even beginner divers can enjoy the site with a guide.
